My 1st Flash Animation

Salam Prof Madya Dr Zaida, Miss/Mdm Khadijah at the back and all my classmates,

In my 1st attempt to do this flash animation by myself, I'm having few difficulties to finish it up, even by looking back at the notes given, it gives me headache for 2 days ... I'm using Flash MX because my laptop cannot install Flash CS3

I tried my best in hoping to have a better creativity and understanding of using this Flash. This is my 1st Flash animation

Shape Tweening ...

1st Rule : The object to be tweened needs to be on it's own layer

2nd Rule : The object must not be grouped or converted into a library symbol.
                If the object has a blue outline around it when selected, it needs to be broken apart in order to be
                tweened.

3rd Rule : If you want to use a shape tween to morph text, you will need to break apart the text twice.

Motion Tweening ... In Between

 

1st Rule : The object that you are going to tween needs to be on it's own layer. If other objects are on the same layer, Flash won't know what to tween.

2nd Rule : Objects must be converted into a symbol or grouped in order to be used in a motion tween.

Standalone Applications and Web.
          

     1. Are both using the same technology?

Stand-alone applications refers to software program that independently, does not require any software other than operating software to run on any platform.
     
Web applications refers to application that accessed over a network such as Internet or Intranet, hosted in a browser-controlled environment or coded in browser-supported language and reliant to common web browser to render the application.

 
2. What are the differences?

Standalone applications developed at offline mode and distributed through packaged in CDs or DVDs.

Web applications developed at offline mode first and then distributed by using online or intranet network.

     3. When is the appropriate time to develop standalone applications or web-based application?
It depends on certain criterias, such as how to distribute the applications, infrastructure of the place to distribute the applications. Nowadays, people is more connected to the web-based application such as the Facebook, all they need is the connection to the Internet, either wired or even wireless connection, but when it became to offline mode, it is best for the development of the standalone applications, for instance, in an oasis, place out of the Sahara desert, there are communities which we can distribute educational stand-alone applications for educational purpose.

     4. Which one you prefer?

    1st of all, what is courseware? Courseware is a combinations from course with software.
    So that educational courseware means educational material intended as kits for teachers or trainers as tutorials for students, which being packaged for use with the computer. source

Three popular components found in the educational courseware are information, computation and also multimedia. source

     2. What are multimedia elements that can be integrated into a courseware?
Text, image, graphic, video and sound.

Alhamdulillah, hari ni hari pertama kembali semula ke kelas di UTM, setelah 3 bulan bercuti bagi semester pertama pengajian Sarjana Pendidikan Teknologi, setelah puas bercuti Hari Raya Aidil Fitri sepanjang 2 minggu, and kelas hari ni, pengenalan kepada Authoring System by Prof Madya Dr Zaidatun, kelas di C14 420(1).

Happy to see the same 4 MPP classmates, and added with 7 new 1st semester classmates ... only 12 of us for this semester. Excited when Prof Madya Dr Zaidatun asked, anybody who wants to be volunteers for her UTM Apps testing pilot team, will get iPad2 for a month, but much more excited when Prof Madya Dr said, will try to ask much cheaper price for iPad2 from the dealer, however it is, class must go on, with iPad2 or even much more anticipated iPad3.
